great to hear people's responses....and we're all in the same boat....i love listening to a whole show start to finish, all songs included.

but what i am grasping at is the possibility of something more dynamic all together....not so much a compilation of a given run....but a new interpretation all together, a'la "infrared roses"....which i dont necessarily think is all that great....but it is the idea of taking the music and reshaping it a bit, into a completely new listening experience....like have Truckin from one night morph into Not Fade from a different night, etc.

i have tried doing this myself, but i have neither the time or know how to use protools, to really do it right.

as far as the validity of the complete shows, that cant be argued with. i'm just grasping for more i guess....and if someone like Phil Lesh embraced the idea and got together with a good producer, it would be like creating entirely new performances....
